    Michael Fine is working on three commissions: an orchestral work to celebrate the 50th anniversary season of Festival Mozaic to be conducted by Scott Yoo, a wind quintet for the University of Missouri's resident Quintet, and a concerto for flute and guitar for Texas Tech University's Ensemble Bravura, flutist Alexa Still and guitarist Jason Vieaux, and Philip Mann, conducting.  Here is a link to the premiere in May of Michael's Concerto for Oboe Section which received its world premiere last May Michael Fine: Concerto for Oboe Section - World Premiere

    Soprano Sarah Traubel made her debut recording with arias premiered by Josepha Hofer, Mozart's first Königen der Nacht.  Along with famous arias by Mozart, Traubel also recorded rarely heard arias by Sussmayr, Winter, Righini, Wranitzky and Haibel.  Jochen Rieder conducted the Prague Philharmonia in the recording produced by Michael Fine at Prague Crossroads.  Jakub Hadraba was the engineer.  The recording will be released by SONY Classical.

    Michael Fine will be one of the featured artists at this year's editionn of Festival Mozaic in San Luis Obispo, California.  In addition to playing clarinet in the Festival Orchestra, Michael will perform Prokofiev's Overture on Hebrew Themes in its chamber music version.  Additionally, his Bassoon Quintet will receive its world premiere performance (Fei Xie, bassoon), Alice K. Dade will give the world premiere of Michael's Flute Quintet, and Xiaodi Liu will give the American premiere of his Oboe Quintet.     Scott Yoo will lead an extraordinary ensemble of musicians from top US orchestras in the world premiere of Michael Fine's Chamber Symphony on 18 June in Colorado Springs.  The performance, a faculty concert, is part of the Colorado College Summer Music Festival.
