    Fine Sound Productions returns to Korea for the next instalment in the DGG series with Myung Whun Chung and the Seoul Philharmonic: Mahler's 9th Symphony, to be recorded in concert at the Seoul Arts Centre. Wolf-Dieter Karwatky and Jin Choi complete the recording team. We recently sent the master of Beethoven 9 with Maestro Chung and the SPO to DGG for release in the next months.

    I recorded French music stars, cellist Gautier Capucon and pianist Frank Braley, in Schumann's Fünf Stücke im Volkston, Op.102 in Salle Colonne, Paris. This was to complete the recording begun in Hohenems, Austria last December (Schubert Arpeggione, Debussy and Britten Sonatas.) This recording - for Virgin-EMI - is in the final stages of post-production. In addition, Frank recorded Schubert's Hungarian Melody which will be added to a Virgin-EMI compilation. The engineer in Paris was Pierre-Antonie Signoret.

    Next up for Fine Sound Productions are recordings of Clara Schumann lieder for Telarc with sopranos Indra Thomas, Nicole Cabell, and pianist John Axelrod. These recordings will accompany recordings of the Brahms Symphonies 2 and 4 with Orchestra LaVerdi and John Axelrod conducting.
