    The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra announced the world premiere of Michael Fine's Double Concerto on 4 May 2017, to be conducted by Music Director Philip Mann with soloists Andrew Irvin and Kiril Laskarov.  Mr Laskarov will be performing on the Le Brun Stradivarius, borrowed for this occasion.  https://www.arkansassymphony.org/news-events/appalachian-spring Maestro Mann and the Arkansas Symphony gave the world premiere of Michael's Suite for Strings last season.

    Erato releases our production of Beethovens Sonatas and Variations for Cello and Piano with French star cellist Gautier Capuçon and pianist Frank Braley.  As the 'Grammophone' declared, echoing general critical acclaim ;'this new set from Capuçon and Braley is undeniably a class act.' The recording, recorded at Schloss Elmau, was produced by MIchael Fine with engineer Jin Choi.

    A new Erato CD features three world premiere recordings of concertos written for Renaud Capuçon by Wolfgang Rihm (Philippe Jordan, Wiener Symphonker), Pascal Dusapin, and Bruno Mantovani.  The latter two concertos were performed by Renaud Capuçon with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Myung Whun Chung.  Michael Fine edited and mixed the Rihm recording, and remastered the two French concertos.

    Michael Fine will produce a recording with pianist Nathalia Milstein playing Prokofiev and Ravel at Hannover's Beethovensaal.  Nathalia was top prize winner at the Dublin Competition.  Michael was on the jury which awarded her the first prize in the youth division at the Alieva Piano Competition in Gaillard, France.

    Hannover's Beethovensaal was the venue for popular Korean pianist Jae Hyuck Cho's debut solo CD, featuring three of Beethoven's most beloved Sonatas:  Pathetique, Appassionata, and Waldstein.  Gerd Finkenstein provided his newest Steinway for the recording.  Michael produced with engineer Wolf-Dieter Karwatky.  Post-production is already under way.
