To celebrate star violinist Renaud Capuçon's 40th birthday, Warners-Erato released our production of the Lalo Symphonie Espagnole, Bruch's Violin Concerto and Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen. Paavo Jarvi conducted the Orchestra de Paris in the first commercial recording sessions held in Paris' new Philharmonie. Michael Fine produced with Radio Classique's Aurelie Messonier. The recording was edited, mixed, and mastered in Michael's home studio.
Australian violist Roger Myers made his second recording with Michael - in this case Bach and Sons plus the premiere recording of Quantz's Viola Sonata. Accompanying Roger was the celebrated French cembalist Celine Frisch. The recording, with engineer Wolf-Dieter Karwatky, was made in Hamburg's Ebert Halle.
Michael Fine signed a contract to continue as Interim Artistic Delegate at the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
Cellist Gautier Capuçon will record Schumann's Cello Concerto with Bernard Haitink conducting the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam. Michael Fine will produce the session with engineer Erdo Groot. In 2016, Capuçon and Frank Braley will record the Beethoven Cello Sonatas with producer Michael Fine.
