    Fine Sound Productions was back in Ghent to record the young Greek

    Fine Sound Productions was back in Ghent to record the young Greek flutist Stathis Karapanos in the Khachaturian Flute Concerto with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kristiiana Poska. Michael Fine produced the sessions with engineer Erdo Groot. Post-production is now in progress.

    The COVID delayed sessions with cellist Sung-Won Yang

    The COVID delayed sessions with cellist Sung-Won Yang, conductor Hans Graf and the London Symphony Orchestra finally took place at LSO St Lukes: the Cello Concertos of Robert Schumann and Sir Edward Elgar along with Bruch's Kol Nidre, Faure's Elegie and a new arrangement of Casal's Song of the Birds for solo cello, clarinet, and cello section.  The recording for Decca was produced by Michael Fine with engineer Jin Choi.  Post-production has already begun.

    SONY Classics announces the March release of 'Finding Home'

    SONY Classics announces the March release of 'Finding Home' - a collection of music by Aaron Copland, Michael Fine, Aaron Jay Kernis, and Serge Prokofiev - conducted by Philip Mann who leads Ensemble Bravura.  It includes three world premieres one of which, Michael Fine's Concierto del Luna, was commissioned especially for this recording and is performed by two renowned soloists: flutist Alexa Still and Grammy Award winning guitarist Jason Vieaux.  The recording was produced by Michael Fine in Hemmle Hall at Texas Tech University; Hideki Isoda was tonmeister.
